PAINTINGS

Convulsions precede the imminent end of all humans. Wanting to feel accepted, the characters abandon their egos, lose their identities, and drown in the absence of humanity. Slowly transforming into shapeless creatures, they become an expressionless mass. You may think it’s alive, but in fact, it’s at the end of its existence.

The artworks I create explore the theme of self-portraiture and involve an in-depth analysis of myself. I try to view myself from different perspectives and objectively assess the states, behaviors, and feelings within me. I have come to realize that I cannot fully represent the subject of a human being in a convulsive world solely based on my own experience. Therefore, I juxtapose the consideration of my own emotions (mostly self-destructive ones) with an assessment of the states and feelings of those around me.
